Haley might be here sooner than we thought:)

I had horrible swelling this weekend and it got even worse by Sunday night. Trey put ice on my feet and I elevated them all night. When I woke up I seen the swelling had went down but after 5 mins of being on my feet, they were right back to the way they were. I was a little worried, especially since my mom was telling me that when she was pregnant with me she had toxemia. I decided to call the doctor to see if I was just worried over nothing. They told me to come right in so the doctor can check everything out. The doctor was very concerned about my swelling, she couldn't believe that my swelling was that bad when I have 4 weeks to go. She was also concerned with how fast I've been putting on weight. They also took my blood pressure and for the 1st time it was high! I was very shocked with what happened next...

She put me on strict bed rest and told me that she wants to induce labor by next week or the following week. Which I will be 37/38 weeks. She also had me do an ultrasound in the office to make sure Haley is growing good (she is 6lbs 2oz) and that she has enough amniotic fluid around her which she does.

The doctor sent me to labor and delivery at the hospital to do a NST (non-stress test to monitor the babys heartbeat) and some blood work, and a urine sample. My blood pressure was checked every so often too which it was still high. My test results did not come back normal, but apparently were not too horrible to deliver me right then. The results were called into my doctor and my doctor wants a repeat of all the tests today (blah). She also ordered me to do a 24 hour urine sample so I have a huge jug of my pee (lol) in the fridge that I've been collecting since 3:40 pm yesterday. I will be returning to the hospital today to turn in my urine sample and do the tests all over again at about 3:40pm.

Yesterday, I dropped off my bed rest order at work and turned in my key. It was very weird how fast things happened. I was sad to leave work so quickly without any notice but at the same time, I have to take care of me and the baby. With my feet as swollen as they are, I know something bad could have happened to me at work if I would have stayed and not went to the doctor.

The doctor wants to see me again this Thursday I guess to discuss the test results and the game plan for when I will be induced. I will keep everyone updated! It's a very stressful time right now especially for Trey. We thought we had a month to prepare before Haley gets here and it turns out she may be here next week!
