Philip is 9 months old!

Philip is 9 months old! He's down for a nap & Haley's in school so I figured I would update the blog. Not sure how many people are reading this anymore but I love being able to look back and remember things about my kids and see how they've grown, especially Haley over the years. I hope to one day print out my blog about them and put together a little book so they can see how much fun I've had with them and can see how they grew up and some fun things we've done.

Philip is growing up so fast.  I took him to the doctor on Monday 2/29/16 and he weighs 19lbs 7oz and is 28.2" long.  Haley at 9 months was 19lbs 14oz and 28" long. Very similar! Philip is officiallly crawling as of 8 months, has 4 teeth (2 top and 2 bottom),  getting into everything, pulling up on anything and everything to stand, waving bye-bye, playing peek-a-boo, still laughing at Sissy (and when Mama raises his arms up and tickles him), eating Mama & Daddy's food, saying "Dada", and loves being outside.  When the weather is nice we take walks around the neighborhood and over to the junior high.  He's taking 2 naps a day and has been sleeping through the night. I'm finally feeling rested and somewhat back to normal. I do think my hormones are a little whacky since I often have those days of not wanting to do much, feeling like I need 2 naps a day like Philip, and a little moody.  I figure I'll give my body some more time to adjust and hopefully everything will improve after I'm done breastfeeding.  Speaking of breastfeeding, I'm sure it has helped contribute to this fact, but Philip has not been sick one time since he's been born. I was looking back at a baby calendar of Haley's and she was sick quite often, first being a cold around Christmas time when she was 7 months old then ear infection after ear infection. We have been so fortunate that Philip is so healthy and well.

I made a quick trip to walmart today and Philip kept getting all giggly as we were walking around the store. I finally figured out what made him so excited, it was the shiny red balloons they have tied onto their shelves around the store. It was the cutest thing. When we came home I was playing with him on the floor and he would often crawl up to me wanting me to hold him and cuddle him. I love when he does that! He also started giving high 5's and my favorite thing he does is lean his head towards me when I say "give Mama kisses".  I wish he could stay a baby forever!

Trey & Haley have been doing great too!  Haley has learned all of her sight words as expected for Kindergarten and she even comes home and reads to me! She is such a smart girl. She is still saying the funniest things. Trey took Haley to the property last weekend and she stayed in his truck so he could shoot his gun and when he was done he was looking down at the ground looking for the empty shells and he said Haley got out of the truck with her polka dot sunglasses with her hand on her hip and said "Daddy whatcha doing? You done shooting your gun?" and then had asked him what he was looking for and said "oh yeah I know, bullets" and she was helping him find them.  She is so funny! Another thing that cracks me up is in the car with Philip, she makes funny faces at him and then they both crack up. She loves that boy and he sure loves her.

I need to get some laundry done but I'll add a few pics so you can see how big our boy is getting and the rest of the familly!

Until next time....
