I can't believe it's been over a month since I last blogged! I have been so busy lately and I just keep putting it off. Haley has been doing very well and still growing like a weed. She has mastered walking and now trys to even run! She has already busted her nose, scraped her forehead on the sidewalk and put big bumps on her forehead, but if you just pick her up and give her a few kisses, she acts like it never happened! So funny how they can just bounce right back!
Her next doctors appt is at the end of August for her 15 month appt so I have no idea how much she weighs but she eats anything and everything so I know weight won't be an issue! She is saying a few words including hi, dada and mama (which sometimes she pronounces it nana). Her newest one is uh-oh but I've only heard her say it real clear a few times. She loves to play on her castle slide in the living room... she loves to slide down on her belly, her favorite place to play is outside which we don't do too often because it's so hot, and she loves to go swimming!! My Dad takes her in the lake when we go to visit, or we take her to Grammie's to swim in the pool, and sometimes we take her swimming in her baby pool here at the house.
Besides all that, Trey is still doing the same stuff! Working, playing golf, and fishing when he can. Let me tell you, Haley is definitely a Daddy's girl! As soon as he walks in the front door from work, she gets the biggest smile ever and she runs over there and hugs his legs! I know they are going to have that special father/daughter bond like I do with my Dad. I know my Dad is very important to me so I know it will be to Haley too.
Anyway, it is getting late and I need to go to bed. Poor Haley has a fever tonight... probably from teething :( She has her 2 bottom teeth and her her 2 top ones are coming in at the same time. They poked through but aren't showing too well yet.
Before I go, I would really like everyone to say a sweet prayer for my friend Brittany and her family. Her 4 week old baby girl Audrey is in the hospital because she has viral meningitis. Brittany had told me that a normal baby has 5 white blood cells in the spine, but her baby has over 200! Audrey's fever won't break and she won't be able to go home until she is fever free for 24 hours without taking tylenol. She is being given an antibiotic for the meningitis. Poor baby! I wouldn't wish this on anyone! I will keep you updated on Baby Audrey.
